Here's a song from a cartoon that used to be aired a long time ago. It may bring some pleasant memories for some of us who've lived long enough to have seen it before.

This is one of those 'love not at first sight (or hearing :P) but after many many' cases for me coz as a youngster then, I probably had not much wisdom to realise the depth of the meaning of this song. Now, after so many years, and i stumble yet again upon the same song, I find it so inspiring, meaningful and apt.

"..sometimes I lie awake, I dream of everyone.. Who walked the path I take, who ran beneath the sun.."

May God bless the scholars of old and all who follow in their footsteps, the Champions of all that is Good, wherever and whenever they are, the creators of the videos below, of the song and generally all who Harp for the cause of Truth... Amin

Inhabitants of the Graves

Peace be upon you my friends. Just felt like sharing something which i got from an email from a fellow pilgrim..

" Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

We Muslims nowadays are so attached to the world that we sometimes forget our ultimate destiny. I thus have included 2 hadith below which I hope to remind both myself and everyone reading it. I obtained them from a classical book written by the most noble scholar, Imam al-Haddad. The book is translated as “The Lives of Men” and it is a powerful reminder of our ultimate goal and destiny.

Hadith 1: “Be in the world as though a stranger or a wayfarer, and consider yourself one of the inhabitants of the graves”.

Hadith 2: “What have I to do with the world? The likeness of myself and the world is that of a rider travelling on a summer day, who found a tree, rested underneath it awhile, then went on, leaving it behind.”

Reflect on it. May He guide us to Himself. Amin.

Hi friends, just wanna share one of the many songs that has inspired me. It's Pilgrim by Enya. The video below features snippets from a favourite movie of mine, Lord of the Rings. It's not made by me though, so if you wanna credit please refer to the originators (enya, lotr, the video's compiler etc).
